8th graders planting flowers

Since its start in March, our Middle School Garden Club has been buzzing with energy, curiosity, and a whole lot of dirt under our nails! Meeting each Friday, our student gardeners began their journey by rolling up their sleeves and tackling a big task: revitalizing the school garden beds.

Together, we cleared out overgrowth, removed old plant material, and prepped the soil for a fresh start. It didn’t take long before we were planting our first flower and vegetable seeds—watching with excitement as tiny green sprouts began to appear. As we care for these young plants, students are learning the value of patience, responsibility, and teamwork.

With our momentum growing, we’ve extended our care across campus, watering and helping maintain healthy spaces around the school grounds. We even planted cheerful flowers at the front entrance. Our campus is looking more vibrant each week thanks to the club’s dedication.

In the Garden Club, students take ownership of daily garden tasks—watering, tidying up overgrown areas, and nurturing young plants. They’re not just learning how to garden; they’re experiencing how nature connects us to our school community, our environment, and even ourselves.

As spring unfolds, we look forward to watching more than just plants grow. We’re cultivating pride, responsibility, and joy in every student who joins us. Here’s to a season of growth—inside and out!
